Just like Gerrans last year, Ciolek did nothing until the sprint. Bleah.

Everyone knows you have to make the fastest guy work. They were too worried about Sagan to even notice Ciolek.

The thing is Cancellara didn't understand anything all these years...he made Sagan work, and then he got 3rd anyway because he waited and waited.

Sagan should have waited a bit more to start the sprint, but he was screwed either way. He had to do the vast majority of the work.

Did anyone seriously expect Ciolek to take turns in a group with Cancellara and Sagan? He did what he had to do. Was he the best, of course not. But that's why he was able to do what he did. And it's not like Sagan hasn't done this before. It's just that he's starting to get called out on it (i.e. Cancellara saying he won't ride with Sagan anymore).
