seems like movistar will have a mighty strong team, i am actually surprised to see both costa and quintana riding PN as i thought quintana would be riding TA.

if quintana is in form he will certainly be one of the favourites for the win but i wonder how he and costa will play this out.

it certainly doesn't feel like PN will be weak anymore like we were saying. i mean is this years field any worse then last years field or 2011 field?

Surely they must go in with more firepower than this?

ASTARLOZA Mikel
IZAGUIRRE Jon
IZAGUIRRE Gorka
KOCJAN Jure
NIEVE Mikel
PEREZ Ruben
SICARD Romain
VERDUGO Gorka

So the names that peleton magazine mentions are a bit strange.

Tony Martin is listed? Has he not just been saying that he wanted to go for the win in T-A?

Tony can TT, Tony can climb, Tony can sprint, Tony can be two races at a time. Tony is omnipresent and he loves a good tarmac.

Westra and Talansky finished within seconds of Wiggins in separate stage races last year, Quintana is the biggest climbing talent out there. Tirreno is bigger in terms of names, whether it's really bigger in terms of level remains to be seen.

Froome, Contador, Nibali, Evans and Purito. What the **** are you talking about? :D

Their level is obviously better, it's not that they didn't do anything yet in this year or in this previous ones.

Menchov is an example of a big name but no guarantee for a high level, just like andy.

Nibali is not a better climber than Quintana. He's a bigger name though.

That's what I mean. There's no doubt that Tirreno attracted the bigger names this year. But it's all relative, little more than a year ago Froome wasn't exactly a big name ;)

I don't know if Quintana is already better than nibali, he has the potential for sure but let's see if he can do it. He's not that consistent yet although his last week at vuelta was superb.

He showed condition last week. But you can't compare him with the likes of Contador or Froome who were going crazy in Oman.

Some new name might pop off but he's not going to be directly at the same level as those guys. Only Froome can do that ;)

Btw Andy is gonna ride T-A, right? He's a big name lol

Says more about the parcours than anything else.
