It's not bad, I just expected more.

for **** sake a climb that is 4.5 km at 6% average and a climb of 1.5 km with maximum 12% on a 15 km course. there is only climbing and downhilling  what more do you want??

unless a wc goes to colombia again we won't see a harder course than this. this at least on paper looks the hardest course since 1995 duitama

 1.5 km 7.5% average  Still not very hard

have you even looked at the freaking profile or just because the finishing line is after 20k of uphill and your beloved alberto has lower chances of winning you automatic thought it was a bad route?

where do you see a 1.5k long climb there?

it has several tough climbs on the first 100+k and on the circuit it has a nearly 5k long climb with 6% avg with the last 2k at nearly 8% and 2 small hills with % up to 15%, and that circuit will be ridden 10 times!!!!

besides i didn't line Copenhagen why would i like a similar course with the only difference being that the sprint would be uphill instead of flat?

Looks like a bit like LBL only with the hills closer to the final. Should be interesting. We don't need a harder WC. Climbers already have 3 GTs. This is a race where both climbers and puncheurs can compete, as it should be.

Last year's was the first actually. So you're right.
Then your comment that is not hard enough doesn't make sense.

Lets.not.forget 3 laps of this will also be in the giro. Shall be an epic stage.

And at worlds will love to see climbers teams try to hammer the fiesole ascents to try to shake of the likes of Gilbert and cancellara.

it does look like LBL, perhaps a bit tougher, with the downhill section (hopefully it technical) and 2 short steep climbs after the main climb it should make for some very interesting racing because with the flat finish if a guy like phill or sagan reaches it with the pure climbers it will be game over for all of them.

I'm sorry I prefer a harder course.

then prepare for a life of disappointing courses as this is as tough as it gets when it comes to WC, last 1 as hard as this has to be duitama.

I find it hard to believe that you could get a harder circuit than this. You could have a harder race, but not a much harder circuit. I think I am going to visit Florence next autumn.

.

km mark Name Distance Slope
57.7 Côte de Ny' 1.8 km 5.7 %
82.0 Côte de la Roche-en-Ardenne 2.8 km 4.9 %
128.0 Côte de Saint-Roch 0.8 km 12.0 %
172.0 Côte de Wanne 2.7 km 7.0 %

241.5 Côte de la Roche aux Faucons 1.5 km 9.9 %
255.5 Côte de Saint-Nicolas 1.0 km 11.1%

Seems pretty similar to me, a bit tougher indeed, but I'm not too familiar with the hills of this WC.
