Yes, but the likes of Villumsen and Häusler had been losing time riding 7 vs. 3 before that. Academic now as they're all off the back again, but attacking probably wouldn't have helped them in that case either.

Well, the favourites were marking each other, so it's not unlikely that they would have gotten some leeway.

Anyway, Vos bossing it.

I checked back, thread was over after the first 6 characters in the first post:

"Vos ftw"

Nice race anyway. Good to see a sprint for second.

Vos wins, but her CQ Ranking 1st spots is over :D

Emma Johansson breaks her 4 year sweep.

Great win for Vos, best women cyclist by far though!

Johansson deserves it too, happy that Ratto got a medal though because she was awesome today. We may be seeing her in the GCs of the big stage races before long. She needs a bit more tactical nous but there is serious talent there. It is good that van der Breggen has a ride at a major team next year too. She deserves it.

Ratto was very good. Solid and strong.

Don't know if the Americans tactics were smart. Maybe they should have played it out slowly and hit everyone hard in the final laps. Was a good race to watch though.

Nice podium and well deserved. Someone needs to talk to Tiffany Cromwell about attacking before the halfway mark up a 4km climb when outnumbered by 3 Italians and 2 Dutch women. Not the smartest thing I've seen. However she rode very well given 2 laps in the Aussie team were down to 3 riders.
