Also going for Blanco: Bos, Brown, Leezer, Bol, Van Emden.

So 5 guys for the sprint train, and a climber ;)

Well considering there's 2 flat stages in Mallorca and 1 hilly, it's not that bad...

Bos might take a stage if lucky enough :p

Sorry, I highlighted the wrong race. It's their Langkawi team.

Bos vs. Guardini, in pretty much the ideal race for both (except those two mountain stages obv.)

Looks like Guardini will meet some resistance this year then. Europcar is fielding Coquard while GreenEdge puts their faith in Kruopis.

Is Coquard already a top sprinter then? I thought he liked hills more, if he can't beat Lutsenko in a flat sprint he normally can't beat Bos, Guardini etc either.

Marc Goos, aka the last man on earth to beat Tiernan-Locke ;)

I thought he is a sprinter or something like that... so is he similar to Kelderman? or really a pure climber?

It wasn't your average "flat sprint." There's little doubt that Coquard is faster than him on the flat.

Anyway, Bernaudeau considers Coquard to be a "pure sprinter" who can handle the hills.

Anton and Nieve will both ride the Tour. Dunno if they will go for clear leader, I think not.

TA rumours: Stage finish in Rocca Di Cambio, exactly like in the Giro of last year.
The stage will start in Spoleto.

So there should be three consecutive stages like this:

Stage 3: ??? - Narni [short uphill sprint]
Stage 4: Spoleto - Rocca Di Cambio [MTF]
Stage 5: L'Aquila - Chieti [Uphill sprint after Passo Lanciano]

Probably they'll be co-leaders and when Anton cracks/crashes/has no form, Nieve will step up as usual.

Nieve will be 10th in GC for sure, that's a given. Anton might be 5th, 75th or 152th, you never know.

They will be short stages? :(

who knows. I don't even know where stage 3 will start. Rumours of stage 5 say the first part will be some kind of loop into the hills around L'Aquila, so it should be quite long.

nieve top ten tour? rofl
He has finished 4 GT's and ended up in these positions: 10th, 10th, 10th and...10th!

Anyway, worse riders have finished top 10 in the TDF (Lemevel, Zubeldia, LLS...). Always some lucky guy in there who's gained a lot of time from breakaways. Why not Nieve? I certainly wouldn't put money on him not being 10th, at least :p

You think Haimar Zubeldia is a bad/worse rider? May I remind you that he finished 6th this year in the Tour? And he's finished highly before.

Actually, he hasn't. In 2010 he finished 12th in the Vuelta but was later moved up one place as Dapena was disqualified. In 2011 he finished 11th in the Giro but was promoted to a 10th place as Contadors results were annulled. In the last two GT's he has done, he has finished 10th, though.

Yep. So if Nieve finishes below 10th. those above him on GC will be disqualified.:D

Wasn't Mosquera DQ'd from the '10 Vuelta, or is this case still not closed? If Nieve doesn't finish tenth in a GT, you know someone will get a positive test sooner or later. :p That theory has been mentioned before on the forum.

So if Andy Schleck wins the tour next year he will give Nieve a 10 minutes breakaway just to get sure? :D
