Exciting route for TdP, but tearing down all the borders for these 1 week races seems the wrong development.
I wanna see more of Poland dammit.

Dazed and Confused said:maybe so, but surely they can find 7 stages of interest (roads or surroundings) in that vast country.
Anyway the racing is likely to be good. Sort of parcours one would generate on a computer perhaps.
The Hitch said:Libertine seguros found some good climbs that would make the race great. The good stages have to take place in the south but like past years they can start in the centre of the country and do 3 sprinters stages before the medium mountains. I thought that was a great formula. Even better if they make the Warsaw stage a prologue. Or they could add 1 or 2 of the small cobbled climbs into the circuits in Warsaw and Krakow.
Was a nice little race. Especially since there's no single mtf to tear the race apart so they need to rely more on an ardennes formula.
now it's a bit stupid. half of me hopes Evans wins so tthey have to start next year in Australia.
What's wrong with good old Willunga Hill?Dazed and Confused said:stage 1 can go up this somehow:

What's with the short stages? Gotta be scared of the 80km stage featuring Les Gets.
Afrank said:I'm liking the ToP route, nice and hilly. Should provide plenty of good racing. TT could be a bit shorter but the amount of MTF's should balance it out well enough.
Don't know what the big deal is about the race having 2 stages in Italy. IMO as long as the parcours for those stages are good, who cares that they go into another country.

Dazed and Confused said:It would be like Tour of California having most of its key stages located in Mexico. Makes no sense really.
The Hitch said:It would be one thing for Cali to go into Baja California or Sonora. It would be another if they went down to Tamaulipas or Nuevo Leon.
How about a sprinting stage with J.J. Haedo participating?Dazed and Confused said:Gimme a Tour of Britain stage in the Falklands, something like a 35 km TT with Sir Wiggo as the winner.

Anyone care to speculate about the race program of Michele Scarponi? He looked good in Paris-Nice until a defect cost him 8 minutes. Then snagged a podium place in Catalunya. What's his next race and what GT's do you think he'll do this year?
Thanks
ILovecycling said:Hi
Scarponi should go for Pais Vasco from Monday and then Trentino,he probably isnt going to do classics, shame.
