...and in that scenario, I for one will be rooting for young Danny van Poppel.

personal said:Cav have a habit of not winning first one, so... Greipel.
King Of The Wolds said:Actually, he's won the first bunch sprint in his last 3 GTs.
If Cav wins tomorrow he'll have worn the GC and Points jerseys in all 3 GTs. Trivia question - who was the last rider to have done that?
Afrank said:The sprint and lead up to it is no doubt going to be chaos. Positioning is going to be key, and every single team with a sprinter is going to be fighting hard to be in within the first 10 riders all in the hope of getting that first yellow jersey. Won't be surprised if we get carnage somewhere.
And don't forget that corner with 2000 meters to go. It's a long way to go from the finish but if someone screws up on it and they're near the front they could create a big barrier and some lesser known rider/sprinter could slip away for that first yellow jersey.

I say Cav to take the stage, OPQS will ride balls to the wall to keep everything under control for Cav. As long as they can keep him at the front and safe from crashes he'll be able to win the sprint.
spalco said:I hope they pull off with 3K to go, I don't want anyone to get hurt tomorrow.
Panda Claws said:Must be Laurent Jalabert then.
uconnryan said:Cav knows this is a one in a lifetime opportunity to wear yellow. An extra motivated Missile? Gimme that.
Pricey_sky said:I really hope Cav can do it, if he wins yellow tomorrow there isn't much left he can realistically win that he hasn't already won. There will surely be a crash or two, hope no GC guys or top sprinters are involved.
martinvickers said:What other riders have worn the GC and sprint jerseys in all 3 GT, their national jersry and thre worlds jersey?
I assume, maybe wrongly, Mercx, anyone else?

Every year I search for these things only for them to appear on EBay in August. I think they are uber useful and if anyone has a set Please , please please post them for every stage. Thanks
Cavendish has been luckier than most sprinters having teams built around him. How many other riders would have had better results if they had the resources he has had.MatParker117 said:Has any other pure sprinter ever done that? Thank you John Herety.

I hope Sagan takes it tomorrow - a sprinter that can perform in all sorts of races and on his own and is worthy of wearing yellow
