There was a mountain sprint earlier in the stage, so that jersey will be given out. They always put one in the first stage. If there is no suitable hill, they just pick a bridge or something.

There's a climb at 45.5 km, Côte de Sotta a 1.1 km climb of 5.9%. Whoever is first over gets KOM.

Ah, ok. Must have missed that. Makes sense to have award KOM points even if just as a token gesture to avoid confusion.
