It's actually a tough position especially at the end of TT when you can be down to 5/6 riders the best teams often have a strong TT there to make sure you don't lose the wheel etc

in this case it is of course as he is injured and cannot accelerate to do turn.

Will probably be proved wrong in 5 minutes but I'd be surprised to see gaps turnaround in the second half. 4.5 seconds for Garmin is probably beyond reach.

Agreed it is likely that gaps between favourite teams will not be huge as it is a quick course 20 - 30s max.

So we definitely have a new record pace today, 57.8 kph for OPQS or better.

The previous record was Discovery Channel 57.3 kph in 2005.

Times are closer because of Stannard, Geraint and Tony Martin injuries than they otherwise would be. Garmin should win it bearing in mind those factors.
