It was too hot out there. Huge change from the weather in Europe.

It will be hotter tomorrow; aren't they going to Palm Springs?

And so, as the racing quality increases, the quality of the tarmac sadly decreases to maintain the equilibrium.

Escondido is a very poor area. I'm not sure why they are even sponsoring the race. Even the teams are staying 10K south in the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego which is nice area. (thats where I live :D ) Overall the roads in SoCal are pretty bad.

.... Westra just said he didnt know who the rider with him was hahaha

I'm not at home but I downloaded the iPhone app just in time to catch the final 10k. Damn, the iPhone app stream was better that 99% of the ones you usually find online.

Nice win from Westra even if I was rooting for Paco.

I used to live in La Jolla:D

Tbh, I thought Escondido is OK, they have some great roads (better than most part of SD) and the best zoo of the world.:D

Always funny when Ryo claims something that is instantly proven wrong. How the hell would Mancebo ever be faster than Westra? Unless its 10% uphill...

His head tilt makes Mancebo incredibly aero and a fast sprinter. If only he hadn't lead out...

Even happier now Paco signed this for me today. He was kind of surprised to see me with Spanish national jersey and even though they were riding to the start he stopped just to sign it for me. :D
