Yes, European races have a lot to learn from the presentation of especially the Tour of California.

Very true. Would be great to be able follow the Giro on a high quality stream like that. Unfortunately the awful commentary from P&P really bring the experience down. Gazzetta used to have that free stream with excellent Italian commentary, but it disappeared last year.
