“It was a hard sprint. I was fighting to stay on Mark’s wheel over that last climb,” Bos said, referring to a roller in the closing kilometers.

“I heard Mark’s chain go ‘gronk, gronk’ with about 300 meters to go and it seemed like he couldn’t drop his gear. I came into the last roundabout in perfect position and I saw the finish line and just went as hard as I could. It’s a great feeling to win.”

Blanco isn't sellable, today's win of Bos won't make it to the Dutch general public. Some old fart's doping story will.

I dont entirely agree with your statement... Yes this vicotry wont reach the Dutch general public, However these wins like today and yesterday will be in the sports news, which means positive publicity.. There are millions of people still watching the sports news on a daily basis. Although a small win like this has little impact in attracting sponsor, it is a fact that all small bits of positive publicity are needed to attract a sponsor.
Yes there is still quite a allot of doping talk going around in the Netherlands, however that will slow down as well, and the more positive news will take over and hopefully with good results in races like Tirreno, Paris Nice, Ronde van Vlaanderen, Paris Roubaix, WP, LbL, AGR and the Giro in particular then Cycling in the Netherlands will be attractive enough for sponsors. (I'm not instagating that Blanco will win these races but a good results top 5 in each of these races is possible).

The way you bring it shows that all hope is lost, and I just wont agree with that. It's a more difficult story for Vacans to find a new sponsor if Vacans does not want to renew their sponsorship, however a merger of Vacans with Argos would be good for Dutch Cycling imo. 3 Dutch teams in times like this is too much, and Vacans and Argos are spread too thin with their Top riders.

Argos: Degenkolb, Kittel, Veelers, de Kort, T Dumoulin, Sinkeldam, Barguil, Hupond, Geschke, Arndt, Ahlstrand, Gretsch, Pariesen, van Rensburg, Mezeg,
Vacans: Westra, Poels, Hoogerland, de Gendt, Ruijgh, Leukemans, Marzincky, Marcato, Boeckmans, B van Poppel, D van Poppel, Ligthard, Markus, Rujano and W Kreder

Tiernan-Locke or Henao? Who do you thing Sky will choose?

Also how much Martin should lose here to give a chance to riders like Henao,Machado or Costa to win the Overall?

Lol there is the option of Kruijswijk winning stage 3 then Kelderman Stage 4.

However i think Machado, Henao or Costa will win stage 3 and then Martin for stage 4. Kelderman, De Gendt and Westra i think will also be up there in both.

Vaconsoleil also have Roman and Kenny. Should have Will Clarke in the Argos list too.

OPQS website reporting that " Mark had a mechanical while he was preparing the sprint." This is after paragraphs eulogizing the team for controlling the stage all day.

This is followed by, "These things happen."

I can't see the team ethos is not to dwell on the negative.

Of course he didn't. Every statistician knows there's also the chance for a draw. That makes it a 33% chance of winning.

In 99.9 % of all races you either win or don't. The only draw I've seen was for 3rd at the U23 WC in Geelong.

And btw only one post to go to 10000, congrats!
