Wiggins is going to win the World ITT. Any avatar bet anyone likes (Yes I know I don't have one at the moment).

i am more inclined now for Canc to take WC ITT, if not WC RR.

btw, has anyone ever worn the rainbow in both RR and TT in the same year?

Tony will spin his 58x11 to an easy win. The route today suited Cancellara in his current form much more than the almost dead flat worlds

There is no such thing as "the advantage of knowing the time to beat".

Cancellara smoked that climb.

There must be an advantage. Knowing you're losing means you have that extra motivation to push yourself that bit harder.

Meh. With the wasp sting and the two killer times by Canc and Tony, it'll be hard for Nibbles to beat any of them :(

i am rooting for TM for WCTT, so i would rather believe otherwise :(

i m just ****ed off at not being able to watch that ride.

Canc only made 3 secs in the last segments wrt TM. So, what TM said is true. The climb is the only thing that has hurt him.

My prediction in this thread was: Cancelara to win, Tony second and Nibs third. Let's see if Nibali can do it.

He wasn't going to beat them anyway. ;)

Cancellaras performance today give more tells about the WC RR than THE ITT.
His climb was strong. I dont think the worlds hill will break him.

I also think like that. at the first check when canc heard that he is about a min down, he must have put some extra effort.
the second segment is the only place where there is a major difference between the two.
third segment diff was just 3 sec.

Good to see Cancellara back to top shape in TT's again. Anyway I prefer to see him winning the road race.

I think it's more due to the fact that he is in really good shape and climbing extremely well judging by the split at the climb.

Just saw an interview with Horner on Eurosport. He says he wouldn't be surprised if he'll loose the jersey. But the most interesting part is that he plans to ride for ANOTHER 3-5 YEARS!

Tony may have overcooked a bit his RAAM-style 175 km TT warmup few days ago
