Duarte finally showing something after so long. He finished the Giro in good form last year but started weak. This time he looks fit from the beginning. Hope he gives Team Colombia good glory.:)

Meintjes

really cool!

Loved him ever since I saw him last year at the worlds. Can foresee him being a African breakthrough for cycling.
Last year mohoric beat him but look at where they are now In the pro peloton

Trentino was one of the main goals for Meintjes this year, he told me that in an interview I did with him. He also wants to be good in the Tour of Austria looking forward to see more of him! Great guy!

Any Colombians know what's up with atapuma. Hasn't done much since San Luis although I know has been doing work as a domestique

Excellent result for Duarte although I wished he cuold get on the podium.
Heard a lot of rumors about how he can't handle the pressure. Is any of that true? Will he finally be able to deliver in the Giro?

Saving him for the Tour. VGD needs help in the mountains. I saw that coming since they hired him. IMHO.

he handles pressure fine. it's just that he never trains and doesn't care about cycling at all. now however he moved to italy this winter with his family, so he doesn't have much to do other than training and spending some time home I'm sure corti forced him in some way as he gets paid a lot of money (reason he didn
t go to astana this winter). some colombians it's a blessing they go back to colombia to train (atapuma, quintana, henao, uran) some it's terrible when they go back because they do everything but training (betancurt, duarte)

So you think he's got a shot at the podium in the Giro now that he's training properly?
Also, do you know where he lives in Italy? Tuscany?

He was born in Kenya. He lives there off season.

Enough said.
