Do you really think he's going to recover in a couple of days?

I'm not saying that but even on 80-90% he will beat all others, maybe not 3:30 minutes thouugh

Also great ride by Poels! I am a big fan of this guy but I did not expected something like this! I hope he will be strong enough to help Uran and still stay close to the other favourites in the mountains and grab a top 10. After all the problems he had in the last years he deserves it!

And Uran isn't ?

uran is no natural climber. in europe may seem that but never in colombia. however quintana and pozzo are only ones who could beat him because they are. quintana with the best engine, recovery and talent.

I hope we will see a clombian double in this Giro. I would like Quintana first but Uran is just fine!

the thing with Uran, he's more Wiggins type of rider in the mountains
he just outlasts by tapping out a rhythm, not an explosive attacker

if the likes of Quintana or Pozzovivo take off, i cant seem him being able to follow

Uran must've sacrificed some of his climbing speed to become this TT beast. After all the b*tching, this is shaping up very nicely.

Pozzo and Quintana will go ape in the mountains for sure.

Too bad Purito isn't here anymore, now i'm reading this post. Purito, Pozzo and Quintana as the almighty trio. They would have crushed Uran for sure.

i dunno about that. in a steep low altitude climb i would take pozzo to beat quintana. in a gradual high altitude climb i would take quintana. they are just different riders from different backgrounds. people think all 'climbers' are the same but of course they are not

he can definitely follow them initially because uran is incredibly explosive. however if he does quintana should just keep pushing a rhythm uran can't hold. for this you need a brave attitude

quintana are pozzovivo are incredibly similar except tat quintana is a natural cyclist. just look at his position on the bike, how he descends. how regular he is. he rarely crashes

pozzo = low altitude, quin = high altitude

pozzo is also high altitude. there is no real high altitude in europe like in colombia, only some over 2000 metres that is advantage for colombians. in tour almost nothing

what was that race a couple years ago that Pozzo won on a massive mountain?
was it Trentino? they were saying that was one of the highest mountains in a stage race

the big difference is quintana grew up at high altitude and pozzo didnt

quintana grew up on climbs of 3500 metres. where are they in europe? of course quintana like most colombians have advantage in altitude but this only happens when climbs are more than 2000 metres high
