So what happened here?
A) By pure coincidence, three of the main red jersey contenders happened to be at the front of the peloton as it rolled through the sprint point.
B) Despite having radios, they were unaware that there was a 5 man break up the road.
C) Riders and DSs don't know the point structure for intermediate sprints.
D) They thought it would be worth getting in a bit of sprinting practice.
E) CN have got the point allocation wrong.
tobydawq said:Neither. The problem is that the points as they can be seen on Cyclingnews are the points for the intermediate sprint competition. However, in the intermediate sprints, points for the real points competition can also be obtained (apparently for the first 10 riders, with 20 points to number 1, and then I don't know the further allocation of points).
