So a total of zero favourites attacked today and we had a bunch sprint up the final mountain. Disappointing.

Dissapointing by Quintana. Status quo among the favourites, Evans, Quintana, Uran, Majka. Arredondo to take a stage later on.

What a shame of a stage..

For the first mountain stage of a grand tour it was hugely better than any other I can remember

They're usually far far more calm than this one

You have got to be ****ting me! When I thought Rolland was going to win it, after droping a colombian and an uber performance, he gets caught and Ulissi takes it.

Disappointing stage indeed. Ulissi did nothing and won. Which is of course better than doing nothing and not winning, like most other riders.

Ulissi great win, should naturally be a contender for Ardennes and Lombardia if he can perform like this.

Tell me a calm first MTF TDF stage. Even 2011 Luz Ardiden had some action.

still better than decades of Banesto/USPS/Sky/whatever trains in certain other races
