In a race like this it's a good idea to save yourself for the last couple of kms. Smart racing from Lampre today (although their captain failed them HARD).BigMac said:Calm down, now. You should refrain from typing if you did not watch the race entirely. They were nowhere to be seen during 190km, that is far from doing a good job. A race is not just final km's. They are pathetic.

He was delivered nicely for the last climb, yet failed BIG TIME. All blame should be on Rui.BigMac said:Yes. They clearly saved themselves going thrice in pointless attacks. And that is not even the point, they should have protected their leader. Oliveira stood near Costa, alone, for more than 160km's, while the others were riding for themselves or simply did not care. Most but two did not even appear in the front at the end so that makes no sense. And they have been like this all year and you know it.

I'm getting scared for the worlds, but still Montreal to go.
Gerrans impressive!
BigMac said:Only his second race after DNF'ng from the Tour. I'd say he did well. And you know that once he saw such a big group after Potasse he likely eased his pace. A top 10 was irrelevant.
