Seem putting La Redoute so far out has made it inconsequential. I much preferred it being 30 km from the finish.

Cobbles are so much funnier these last few years. Liege is also turning into a sprint finish in Ains...

I think that's just nostalgia. It's simply a truth imo that cycling is naturally a boring sport. You rarely miss much when you make yourself a cup of tea even at the peak of action in a race. That doesn't make it a bad spectator sport, but just different.

We filter the highlights in our head and don't remember the long boring parts.
That's with any sport. Every sport 'used to be better'.
