Kwiatkoski was suffering the most yesterday on the 10% kicks. He was also isolated for the most critical parts, and was lucky to have Porte drag everything back. With Uran not at his best, he won't be able to hold wheels for those late, steep k's or be able to claw back before the descent.

How long should the Wall take to climb?

Moreno FTW. Wish Pozzovivo was showing a little more form though.

Would agree. Kwia is a young guy, don't think he has hit the tarmac hard yet (on a descent). I can imagine he would go full power here.

It's true, people may forget he's only 23 here,
He has time to learn for a GC guy :)

The wall is 600m long. With a speed of 9 to 12 kph that would take 3 to 4 minutes.

wait wut? what happened to richie? :(
i was counting on him too to attack today...

Don't worry, they still have the best stage racer in the world to do that.

Sir Bradley Wiggins will show what a daring and attacking rider he is and ofcourse how good of a teammate he is by attacking on the Lanciano

Nice **** break, should be enough to keep us under 40kmh. And Popo delivers in Italy once more. May or may not be a pun in there.

Yeh I know that but I mean with the train. It was a 1-2 with Cummings IIRC.

Oh Popo is still alive, in Italy of all places...

Too bad with Porte's sudden illness.

Things not going too well for Team Sky.

is there anyone with the balls to attack at the base of lanciano, make a maverick descent and slug it out in the final climb?

There's no one who needs to gain 5 minutes...
Best case scenario for us would be big guns attacking at 3 kms from the top of Lanciano and forming a selected group.
