I'm surprised with Peraud (who can get on the podium) and Arredondo who should be one of the team leaders next year considering there's no one with his class for the mountains.
Quintana is insane as well, going for the Giro only a true talent can still shine in March.
Also Nieve was probably benefited with a very hard race on Lanciano otherwise he would have done worse. I hope he can keep himself in the top10 with the TT coming up.

Really, who cares about Froome at this point? Yeah he's still the best, we know it, but he never did anything as exciting like Contador has done for years. So today everybody is happy that there was true bike racing.

+1 Well said.
for froome fans, today is contador's day. And the way he won it? classy period.

When did Froome do something like this??

Never, just as Armstrong and Postal could have never done either. And in March!

Spontaneity, what Castiglione once called disinvoltura, is what separates true genius from something that only bellies the technical preparation behind the result.

This is why, and I don't care what anybody says, Contador is the real deal, while Froome, like Armstrong, is merely an able technician.

you're the second sky fan boy to say this. Wishful thinking? Or is there some basis in reality for this observation?

even if ac wouldn't ide then it's going to be an easy win for either purito, quintana or acevedo

That's a good way of putting it. Sometimes it's hard to explain why I prefer Contador to Froome, Wiggins, Valverde and this sentence truely resumes it.

The stuff of legends, this man lives his 'secret dream' and revives the way of cycling that I fell in love with 50+ years ago!

This looks like the Contador of 2011....everyone be very afraid as he still has form to find :)
