Starting goin' on long attack well in your thirties is much too late to be considered a champion. Contadull is the one who discussed every true cycling fan with boring display of waiting till last 5k at 2008 Giro. Adding to that a total disconcern for the greatest classics that are the pinnacle of the season, a 50 day racing calendar that is just kidding everybody and those silly childish antics after wins, would you imagine Brik Schotte making such antics after his wins. Come on! Classless and decerebrated by 30 years of TV brainwashing! Contadull doesn't believe in cycling. For him it's a way to become a TV/Internet celebrity.

Contadull? Funny. He is one of the most entertaining riders currently riding. He is an amazing tactician....he knows how to make the most of any situation. He ain't no dummy. Today was great....I loved it.

Bravo Alberto! This is what we have been hoping for. We may just have a good battle in France yet.

Brilliant name, echoes, course thats all I hear. Nice try though, but I think baiting would work better somewhere else with the same level of knowledge as ur own, or the lack of it.

Yeah, we get it by now. AC isn't Flemish, he doesn't do the cobbled classics, he wasn't born in the 40s or 50s, and he certainly doesn't race cross so he's just not a true champion.

you're the second sky fan boy to say this. Wishful thinking? Or is there some basis in reality for this observation?

Froome wasn't here, we don't know what he would have done or not on the Lanciano. Although I'm pretty sure if he had done an attack like Contador did today we would have heard terms like "full ***" and "farce" instead of appreciating the greatness of the performance.

Sort of like the "cowardly" and "pathetic" posts that appeared in the earlier moments of today's stage?:(

Dudes, stop quoting Echoes, he is on my ignore for a reason. He is the only type of person worse than an idiot: he is an idiot who thinks he is not. In fact, he is twice as bad: not only does he think he is not, he actually thinks he is superior. F*** him really.

I would say that I feel sorry for you that you can't appreciate an exceptional and rare athletic achievement due to your preference for only the classics and well known dislike for stage races but in all honesty, based strongly on the tone of post, I just can't muster any sympathy at all.

Someone might not be on the top of your friends list. But as soon as you start bashing them the way you just did, you become worst then them. You can disagree with someone in a more civil manner.(To be clear, I don't agree with Echoes at all.)

Tomorrow looks like a windy coastal route. Could be interesting if they take advantage of the terrain. The finale has lots of turns and a small ramp. Movistar to make a Tinkoff-move? :D They have a lot of rider suitable for a mass break.

Froome never attacks more than 10k from the finish, anyway his attacks are better than Purito and Co.
Contador is the only one who does that in this decade.

Great attack from Contador, and zig zagging like San Luca, just a shame Porte was ill, would have been interesting to see if he could have responded
