Do we get start to finish on tomorrow's stage too? That could be the best opening weekend stage in Le Tour in years. I'm actually quite enthusiastic for that (I know, I know, Libertine enthused about a Tour de France stage parcours, shock horror).

I'd rather have had a prologue than this, but there can be no doubt that the countryside is nicer than the cityscape to look at in this part of the world. And I can leave it on in the background while watching the F1 safe in the knowledge I'm not going to miss anything in the next hour or so.

think stage 2 is a full day indeed superb parcours, monday is prefect too don't want anything tricky with a long transfer before tuesday

Sheffield to Cambridge is not all that much better than London to Lille.

Lot of different car sponsors these days. Used to be only Skoda, but there has been some diversification.

and it is glorious =p

I understand why he does it, he is probably the only non native English speaking rider that is marketable in the US, so he's earning some nice money doing silly stuff like this.

I think he wants the KOM jersey, and he's not gonna get it if he stays with these two.

Griepel Sagan and Cav all coming together.

Kittel is not going to bother about sprinting up a hill.

the green jersey competition is going to be interesting.

Yeah I have to backtrack a little bit, it appears there is more to it than just a bit of publicity.

A lot of dual carriageway tomorrow in amongst the nastier roads, hope it doesn't end up being too similar to this year's LBL.

well kittel is huge as a global brand in my view mostly due to being superb on social media. Sagan is also a huge brand in the states and globally.

After that it is less so but Contador was pretty huge in his prime of primes

Voigt has had a real love affair with the Tour he hasn't missed one since his debut rarely racing any of the other two grand tours. In fact he has never raced the Vuelta.

2001 he spent a day in yellow
2005 he spent a day in yellow

has he ever spent time in any other jersey during the Tour
