Contador probably playing it safe now that Froome is out. Frankly, I think Nibali will need to gain a lot of time today to make the race competitive. I hope he does, otherwise the rest of the race risks being a coronation like last year's was (except for Contador rather than Froome).

He is a few year older whilst his main rivals are young and hungry. It has been a while since Alberto was able to show everyone a clean pair of heels in the mountains. IMO its still game on.

Seems at least Nibali is doing his best to make it true today. If he takes enough time today to make up for (or at least diminish) the gains Contador will make in the TT it will be a very good thing.
