This stage could be the end of GC dreams for a lot of guys.The only bad thing about this one is that crashing are imminent,let's hope nobody is forced out by injuries.Valverde could be the man to surprise everybody here.

nah, only a couple of GC contenders/pretenders will lose serious time.
Others will drop 60-90s or even less.
It will setup a great race for the reminder of the tour.

GC riders might have a rough go of it in the rain, but I think the cobblestone specialists are going to have a tough time escaping the sprinters. Sagan, Degenkolb, Kristoff, and Demare have a great shot here without Kittel in the picture.

And the fact that Sagan and Degenkolb are one of the best cobbled specialist of the peloton, based on their last perfomance in PR. I can only see a really good Cancellara drop them.

Kristoff to win the stage, Froome to loose some time as a result of his crash today.
AC, Nibbles, Valverde and Talansky to get through without problems
Im worried for VDB though

Will be nearly impossible to predict. If Kwiatkowski can hang on to Terpstras wheel maybe he can steal some vital seconds. He needes every single one of them if he wants to reach white/top 10.

As someone who also follows Test match cricket, the forecast and the reality can be two different things ^^;

Only because test cricket lasts so long that the seasons can change during the match.

Matthew Hayman. Voigt DNF'ed back then. I don't think La Machine raced that edition.

Boonen, Hushovd and Engoulvent also rode in 2002, but neither are participating in this year's Tour.

Chavanel was 52th back then.

How many of you guys are praying for rain ? you evil !

i always do for paris-roubaix and it never happens

i want to see every gc contenders reaching healthy the vosges and not with big gaps between them. ok maybe froomey and alberto with a 3 minutes gap to nibali won't be so bad:D
