Bikes can't go through puddles? I'll have to remember that next time I'm about to do that myself, which in the UK is most days.

Man you know what I mean. I am as disappointed as everybody else, but you just can't make pros go through a cobbled sector at 35/40ks/h and suddenly hit a massive puddle. The rider will crash, the other coming thick and fast behind him will pile up, etc...

It is just not doable, sadly. I hate it when organisers get bullied by teams and DSs to cancel rideable stages, but when the conditions are not rideable, well they aren't. It is just the way it is. Let's just hope that some cobbled sectors stay rideable, that is all we can hope for.

I somehow have the feeling I'm about to be part of something epic and historical. A day I might never forget. Better make it a good memory!

Now that is the spirit.

puddles =/ flooded last time I checked

The photos we've seen =/ flooded last time I checked either but anyway, it is what it is. The old days are gone now. Not worth getting worked up about it.

Sep Vanmarcke ✔ @sepvanmarcke

All sections should stay in!! @letour

:D
I knew I love this guy. What a spirit! Everyone knows cobblestones are dangerous and well cycling is a dangerous sport. One thing is ice roads on the Dolomites but wet cobblestones? Come on... Now I'm just waiting for the riders to neutralise the other sector. I wonder who will do that this time? Cancellara probably doesn't care without Schlecks to pull around France, Millar isn't in the race. Maybe all the GC riders together, Sky-Saxo alliance wouldn't surprise me....

That's sad news but i'm gonna stay positive. We still have 7 sections, let's hope they won't touch that.

So is the stage now shorter? Need more details

Holy **** those strokes look terrible, this is gonna be a battlefield but thinking about it.

I think the riders will neutralize it :(

They will not, simple because Vanmarcke is there, and some teams who have really strong squads and want to profit from this stage

They should take the finish line to the other side of the Arenberg to make up for the removed sectors :D
