Sagans is really impressive. As annoyed as I am that he is so dominant in the Sprint classification u can't say he doesn't deserve it. A top 5 in all (6) stages so far in this year's tour. Incredible!
First rider in Tour history to achieve that. Not sure if true, just read it at another portal.

Kittel didn't have a puncture he just said in interview with Ned Boulting, ITV4, he and the team were tired after all the work today and so lost contact

least in Ireland when it rains our roads don't turn to ice rinks, more crashes today and expecting even more all the way to the finish

Did not get to watch the stage but Kwiato is impressive. I don't like TJVG very much but I do like Talansky. This race has just barely started - the best is yet to come. :)

Getting a bit nervous about Nibs staying in yellow too long, too soon, though. I don't know. He knows what he is doing ;)

Kwiatkowski looked amazingly strong
Did anyone notice at around 10km point Kwia did a monster pull and asked Tony Martin to pull and he shook his head he just couldnt up the pace after Kwia's pull

Kittel didnt have a puncture the commentators suck he couldnt keep up with the others

Omega started pulling very hard from 10km to go and it blew Giant away this proves Giant is beatable

If you wait till 3 km to go to really up the pace then Giant will come on top but if you start winding up like around 10km to go like HTC used to do for Cav, Giant will be blown away

Aye, I saw that. Wasn't sure if that was Tony saying he couldn't pull through or if Kwia was trying to start a split and TM was telling him it wasn't the time...

Either way it shows how strong Kwiatkowski was

He must have some amazing form..its a doubt whether he can keep up in the high mountains

That was only because it was tailwind today. On a quiet day or with headwind Kittel would still be there.

When interviewed by Matt Slater, ITV4, Kittel said they lost contact through tiredness after working on the front most of the day when OPQS started to split the peloton. Which just goes to show teams should make Giant work on the front more seeing as they have the prominent sprinter

Kwia is making some serious mistakes here if he has solid GC aspirations imo.
Spends way too much energy at the front on a stage like this.

With Nibali sprinting for the victory at second stage (and yesterday) and Kwia doing this i am starting to think they try during flat stages abandoning every hope for any aspirations in the mountains. I really like em trying but for GC this is madness.

I think he said working on the front all day wasn't the biggest problem. And why would it be ? It was only Cheng Ji and Devenyns doing the work and they did their job as usual. The problem was the train derailling in the finale probably caused by the cumulative effects of the wind, yesterdays crash and missing Degenkolb

Exactly what I said, tired after being on the front in the wind most of the day instead of sitting in the peloton all day saving energy, unable to stick together in the finale.

Nice to see Greipel back to at the front. Hopefully we will get a real showdown between him and Kittel soon.

It was Matt Rendell he was chatting to, Slater is BBC.

Gorilla was up for this.
