Sherwen "Gesink likes the explosive type of climb" ...for the past few years he hasn't because he starts in a bad position

oh it's the morning of the sweet old willunga hill. i hope i can wake up for this, i hope

curious if orica will try something on the first way up. doubt it

curious if they can climb it under 8 minutes
2013:3,6 km@7,1%---8:01---average speed 26.94 km/h(Gerrans-Slagter)

my prediction is that cadel will win it and with more than 10 seconds on the next rider

If Evans and Porte do a climb without speculation, they will do a new record, becouse this race is year by year more important, and Evans and Porte are the best riders in contention ever here.

Of course Contador has been the best here, and Valverde, but Valverde came from a sanction, he wannt at his best, the clinmbed at Javi Moreno pace, that here you see it is not the best. Gerrans is good termometer, he will do similar time...
Anyway Evans two days ago did 24 km/h, it is not too much in a 2,5 km at 9 %, in Tachira they climb faster.

In 2010 it was climbed just once...

Belkin and Sky driving the pace...this could be close for the sprint. Those teams really should not be driving the pace imo. They have no need to.

Now Lotto is.

2:15 is the gap and under 3km until the sprint...Orica-GreenEdge have not gained any time and really needed those seconds imo.

Okay, well then he is giving more seconds to Haas if that is the case. That is still no reason for Sky to chase the break.

If he doesn't drop and beat anyone he's not gaining any positions... it doesn't matter if people ahead of him beat him and take extra seconds given that this is the last day to take time. Although there's a risk Silin may take his 10th spot so maybe you're right, would ruin his season if he slid down to 11th.

The SKy DS said they were going for the jersey. Trying to chase and give seconds to Gerrans is not what you would do

Yes, Ferminal. You quoted my post from ages ago so I responded to it from that context. Sky chasing has proved to be silly anyway.
