I was not his biggest fan but everybody must love him in this race.

The Tour Winer riding full power on 2HC category race is something what is not seen quite often, isn´t it?

Exactly... I enjoy it too. Strange.

From being only 2nd best in the World Championship TT last year, he's taken a step up to winning the TT in the TOC!

Quite unusal. True. "TheSceptic" may has a theory about it. ;)

Sherwen and Liggett are neck-in-neck in their own time trial towards dementia.

At least Sherwen knows that the gap that Wiggins cares about is the one to the climbers, not to Phinney.

Tour of Britain last september?

He said that the sponsors (so rupert murdock) placed this race as the teams second objective of the year after le tour. A bit odd given they've missed it the past two years (i think)

Paul leads today for saying something about Wigans wearing black / Johnny Cash wearing black / Folsom prison, etc

Too bad we don´t have this guys here. I heard so many stories in the forum... still can´t believe they are allowed to go on. They are not qualified for their jobs.

The woman doing the hand signs at the start did a great job of art.

Slightly reminiscent of Ted Rogers in 321 I think, although without the Bletchley Park set riddles, and remote control bin!

It seems Dennis will be 2nd again.

It would be 4th 2nd place for him out of 5 of last TT stages he participated in.

It would also be his 7 2nd place in TT stages (including prologues) as a Garmin rider, but still no wins in TT. Pretty hillarious I would say.:D

Still two MTF to come

The only problem is I don't think that anyone will be able to make up a few minutes on Sky even with two MTFs. Last year TVG lost a grand total of 24 seconds on the two MTFs and he didn't even win the time trial by as much of a margin as Wiggins had today. Barring a crash or rain, I can't see anyone else winning the race after today.

Any of the climbers who could gain time are more than two minutes down.

Tommorow stage looks prommising.

I remember that last year this race had some stages with less then one page of comments. After tommorow stage it might have more pages then Giro had after 3 stages. :D

I think the problem lays with the race organizers. Essentially they created a course in which it will be a huge upset if one guy doesn't win. I would have preferred if they tried to make it a bit different like Paris-Nice this year. Although that race wasn't always the most exciting, the organizers did design a race in which nearly anyone could end up winning in the end.
