That was a ****e stage for sure. I guess the only one's who wanted to win were the boys upfront. Kudos to the breakaway.

was that the 'let the american have-a-go-heroes battle out a stage', a ToC sequel to the 'let Jensie win solo stage'?

As much as I like breakaway wins, it's a shame this one seems tainted by the lack of information in the peleton. Was it the lack of race radios or did the peleton think they had more km's left like the rest of us?

It seems WT riders don't understand how a strong tailwind works. Same thing happened in Catalunya this year.

I imagine Cav is ****ed off with his team mates; a team without a GC rider and packed with some of the best roulers in the world can't let a break like this go all the way in this sort of stage.
Two reasons why Giant gets a pass in my book: 1. GC, 2. Not their A sprint team, far from it.

Some really nice spots today, but hasn't it mostly just been scrubby desert overall? One of the least aesthetically pleasing tours for me :(
