I presume (but don't know ) that it was Nibs .. Sagan would have won from the bunch so why start an attack and risk tiring himself when all he had to do was follow any dangerous moves.

well, with sagan it sometimes is like that, that he doesn't try, he just goes away during the descent, if he realized he had some gap might have started pushing just to test his legs. Last year has proven, that he will need tt legs to be wining more a more often with coming years as everybody is marking him -- e.g. Quebec vs Montreal

True, hopefully he is practicing for MSR!

how did they get the gap?

Great descending?

Everyone else looking at each other?

Sounded like great descending but we won't know until the highlights tomorrow. I expect fireworks on the green mountain tomorrow. Froome will attack there's no doubt about that, can anyone follow?

These days Nibali can also get a gap uphill ;)

But he didn't. That was pretty evident from the live report. Froome and Uran attacked uphill. Then were caught in the downhill by a large group of 40. Then Sagan/Nibs/Uran attacked in the downhill.

I know. I just remarked on your 'of course'.

it shows uran is also great in descending again. he was always very good but when VERY yougn he was incredible. but after his germany crash it changed. he was still way above average but not superb anymore like a samu in his best years

That was because of the question wether it was pure because of downhill skills, or because the peloton was looking at eachother. In full finale I don't think the peloton was looking at eachother, certainly not with Sky there. So I replied with ofcourse it being due to downhilling skills.

But it's apparent you didn't read the quote I was replying to. So ofcourse you had to make a remark based on your assumptions. And ofcourse assumptions of every person are mostly wrong.
Try reading the next time. It only takes little effort.

Nice to see Frank Schleck up there. Andy should be ashamed, after a year of good racing he can't keep up with his brother who has been on the bench for almost two years. It speaks volumes about the focus vs talent of each brother.

of course he was. but also mentally the most unstable. what a sad excuse of a human being he is. I can´t be happier to see his career rot away
