Blooming Eurosport...! Cancelling live coverage for snooker and women's football. Should they even have a resolution to the snooker (which at present is a slow game with perhaps 2 full frames to follow) they'll be changing channel which screws up anyone recording for starters.

I can yes (and did yesterday as the TT needed the data), but was planning to record live and watch in morning. Just a bit of luck I turned on right at the time I did to check I'd pressed 'record' - to get the announcement I'd need to switch channels! Otherwise I'd have taped women's football. Eurosport is good for so much but the flexible schedule is a pain sometimes.

He did reasonably well in Tour de Pologne and Tour de l'Ain last year. And he is consistently strong in the Ardennes, although you may not notice, because in the team full of great puncheurs, his roles are different (he did strong breaks a couple of times, though). He also was the strongest domestique for Talansky in the first 6 days of Dauphine. And moreover, he hasn't done that much in American races apart from this very one USAPC.

Yeah I remember one escape in Amstel with Bardet (?) that was quite good. Maybe the team depth is hampering his chances a bit but his skill set looks interesting to me perhaps as stage hunter or something. Also I wonder what he can do on the Ardennes and perhaps the Italian Fall Classics later in the season.
Regarding the american races I was confused with Lachlan Morton who took a stage in Utah last season, did a good GC in Colorado and disappeared since then. Is he injured or something?

Names and words are sometimes pronounced differently in the UK from the US, especially the north of UK. Although commentators should have a phonetic list of names in front of them (tennis commentators do this).

I have no idea what's going on with Morton. I had some big hopes regarding him, really hoped last year's August would be a breakthrough for him, but since then, his results are worse than ever. I don't think he is going to be riding for a WT team next year. Sadly, I saw a future GT podium finisher in him when he finished Tour de Langkawi on 6th place at the age of 19. Something has to be wrong, he should be progressing, not regressing, considering how young he is.

Regarding Howes and Ardennes, he also tried a solo break this year in LBL, but got caught after several kilometers. He was able to hang onto the group then, but got mechanical on one of the final climbs and disappeared. I also seem to recall him doing some pulls from fairly reduced group at La Fleche. He finished in the top40 in both AGR and Fleche despite being domestique. He also did a gigantic pull for Haas in the final kilometers of Brabantse Pijl.

He was also within something like 25 last riders to remain in the group at stage 1 of Dauphine, protecting Talansky, until he got dropped. Not a very noticeable guy he is, but he's done much good work for his team-mates this year.
