ALT DE FONT-RUBÍ (P.M. 3ª Cat.). 5.7km, avg. 3.8%, max 6%

Another stage for Mezgec before we see if any of the GC boys can make any final moves in GC on the final "dagger" stage.

Can possibly see a break holding, but it will probably come together anyway. Mezgec again probably.

Shame Wiggins isn't here to contest the sprint :D

Yes, and then we could hope for rainy weather on the long run down to the finish....he'd do wonders. :)

This race is evident that Sky Pro cycling is declining, Froome and Porte are not good riders at all and they were just lucky last year. The classics team is even worse.

No real bumps in the road: Leigh Howard's beat chance to pick off a victory from Mezgec.
Yeah, sure. Nothing to do with the climbs, Howard just isn't fast enough.

Yes a 600 metre descent from the final climb to the finish (60km) is going to be scary! :D

Mezgec has not only won three sprint / hilly sprint stages, he has won them convincingly. It is difficult to see him losing if he is delivered by a lead-out or if he is in the finale. So is it possible the other teams will leave it all to Giant today?

Alaphillipe chance for the stage win?
Maybe breakaway will take it.

Alaphilippe has been very strong but his positioning has been absolutely disastrous. If he gets it right he might be able to challenge Mezgec but I doubt it.

yeah ala is still learning his way but despite all that hes been involved every day which is also a credit to his other skills he is getting right, teams would be wise to let giant chase for good while to ensure mezgec has to win this with his own legs again.

If you pick someone outside Mezgec, you better call Ferrari.

Picking Ferrari doesn't mean I can't point out that Howard's best shot is on a day like today. I'm relying on high placings from both of them on my various fantasy squads. Would be nice to see Alaphilippe take a stage, too, but I don't see what he would do better on today's stage than someone else might.

If he knows what he´s doing it can be. But I doubt he does, the level of IQ he´s showing is not impressive. ;)

AC for another bunch sprint.
