This was unbelievably dull. How do other contenders still not know that Purito wins every uphill finish if he's still with them in the last 3 km?

Job well done by Purito, I guess.

Tejay is getting way better at explosive finishes!

How on earth did you expect them to drop Purito on a climb like that before the last 3km?

why do u guys always whinge about dull MTFs? they wait until the last km or less because that is the longest they can sustain a big attack for against top climbers. it is pointless say Froome going at 3k out as he will just blow up and they will catch him and he will lose lots of time. THIS IS WHAT CLEAN CYCLING LOOKS LIKE. Go watch some armstrong tapes if u find it boring.

I hope Froome has cleaned up so we dont need to witness his ridiculous mont ventoux attacks anymore.

and btw Purito doesnt always win MTFs when he is there near the finish, but it just so happens that this is his home race so he is gonna be super-motivated and well prepared for it, whereas guys like Froome and Quintana are probably not in super top shape atm

The only bad thing about this finale is the fact that they caught Birdy again.

Loved the fact that 1-4 of last year's TdF was at the front; pretty close together when Froome was leading, then Purito attacked... BLAMM! Goodbye!

Contadors rise continues !. J Rod unbeatable on finish like that. Froome naked without team mates. Contador also got blocked in when the hammer dropped. Other than that it was a **** boring stage. Good last K

I really like how Froome tries to attack while he doesn't need to and while hes not sure about his shape. He reminded me a little bit of the Froome in the first week of La Vuelta 2012

Thought the same thing. Half-a$$ed naive attack that he quickly backed out of, and trails in a few seconds down.

When Froome went, Contador took a line to chase that led him right into Moreno as he was pulling off. Cost him a bit of extra time to chase. Made zero difference to the outcome of the stage, but there definitely was an extra gap to close.

I saw that. Moreno pulled off right in front of him and he definitely had to work harder to get on the wheel. As you say I don't think it mattered, this was Purito's regardless.

Quintana is just coming off T-A. Purito and Froome haven't raced since Oman I think, so I'm not sure you can draw the conclusions you are making about their respective form. I'd leave it at, given this group of favorites, Purito is the superior sprinter/finisher on these types of climbs.

Haha, this is so funny.

On this kind of finishes, it would be a disgrace if Purito would be beat by Contador.

Haven't you see cycling the last 4 years?

according to quintana himself he's around 80% and he will stay that way right until the start of the giro.

If Froome doesnt attack u call him boring. If he attacks and fails u call him naive and half-asssed. If he attacks and wins u say he's on drugs.
