Well that was pretty anticlimactic. And Purito takes it in the final km, what a shock. Chapeau Purito!!!!

It's nice to see Froome get dropped but he's not an uphill sprinter type and never will be.
Pena Cabarga and PDBF suggest differently. More likely that Froome isn't on top form yet than that he can't sprint uphill.

Lol is every freakin mountain stage in Spain the same or what? Nice win by Purito nonetheless, good move by Contador and Kelderman is just a boss.

This was unbelievably dull. How do other contenders still not know that Purito wins every uphill finish if he's still with them in the last 3 km?

Job well done by Purito, I guess.

Tejay is getting way better at explosive finishes!

Those are 20% climbs in the last few hundred meters and much tougher than the motorway today

Froome could have done the last km slightly smarter, but I am not sure that he would have won in any form

Nice Ninja-style win from Purito.

When Froome went, Contador took a line to chase that led him right into Moreno as he was pulling off. Cost him a bit of extra time to chase. Made zero difference to the outcome of the stage, but there definitely was an extra gap to close.

What a sh!tty end of a race. That climb sucked.

Did you expect something different?

We all know it would be a nice sprint, and in the end the Purito demolishes the field.

Froome had nothing man he is better than TJVG lol. At least Froome tried

Its only going downhill for Dawg now. He will be Wiggins soon enough. Contador is winning the tour this year. ;)

Listening to Carlton Kirby stumble over his words time and time and time and time again today. He's really not a good commentator.

He is awful...can't believe I listened to him blather on for 2.5 hours! Followed by a 2km race LOL.

what are they spposed to do then? attack from 5 km and fall flat on this easy climb? all they can do is try to lose the least amount of time possible and contador I'm sure thought could follow purito.

Pretty much this, happy for Purito, Contador beating Froome, and a nice result for Tejay. But that was a pretty boring race. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.
