I remember some pretty epic pictures on angliru in the rain where they actually fought for traction.... This is no Angliru, so it is a false problem today

None of the very big dogs will want to go, but I can see second tier riders giving it a go, just like in 2012 when the organisers than cancelled the times for the whole stage (an outrage which still schocks me).

It could open the door for an outsider winning it all in the end. If you have a group of decentish climbers / tough guys like a Tommy Voeckler and others going for it. What do you do if you are one of the big favourites ? have your team chase or fold ?
