Hope Quintana isn't badly injured.

Movistar should use him to create chaos now, try to get into every break going - long distance attacks on stage 16 and stage 20 obviously...

True that.
Movistar has a huge weapon to use if he recovers from his crash. Of course they'll probably just use him to protect Valverde in case he's got a bad day.

Come on, barring accidents, of course the Vuelta is Contador's now. Froome hasn't got it, Quintana was the only one who perhaps could have matched Contador in the mountains, but he would have lost a minute today anyway.

Froome lost almost a minute.
The Contador hype in this thread was out of control though. His performance was very good indeed, but nothing extraordinary. Uran was much better and he was barely mentioned.

Correct.

Small chance Quintana will be in shape to attack tomorrow. Crashes have the biggest effect in the two days after a crash. Opportunities for him will be running out very soon

maybe because broken leg (which is can't train right away) vs. broken wrist (which means leg can still spinning on stationary bike)... broken leg came out on the top. No wonder then the hype is huge. It's not about being extra ordinary, but being back from injury. That's already itself cost for a celebration.

lol @ people thinking conatdor is now a sure winner. the guy focussed all on tour and it didn;t happen which means his form curve will go downwards similar to valverde. only bad thing is if quyinbtana is injured now. if not and he's in top form he can still win but doubtful he's not injured. also uran is back in gc and should only improve and we still have froome to laugh at every day

hmm, looks like three Spaniards on the podium now.
Froome worse than I expected.
Anyway congrats to Martin with the stage win.

Now we can hope for some aggressive racing moving forward.

Think people are celebrating Contador way to early.

I want him to win but there his now way is leg is gonna be 100% for the whole Vuelta.

Today may not be as comfortable for him as it might look.

Not so sure his leg was so bad from the beginning. I am no doctor but I have a hard time seeing him riding so soon after his crash and now riding like crazy if the injury was really serious. I think he will be fine, leg wise.

I mean, a friend of mine had a fracture in his arm and had to use some sort of splint for like 4-5 weeks.

Still wide open for the win.
Monfort 19th on GC :D
Because he's a Zubeldia, he'll finish somewhere in the top20 and you won't see him once. Even De Greef had the decency to do some stupid attack once in a while.

Laugh at Froome every day you would have point if he made an ametuer mistake. TDF over, Contador has been better than Nairo all year Ryo. TDF13 Quintana would have won the Giro by 6 minutes.

Agree completely, but I think its a bit naïve for so many people to not even consider it might be an issue for him presently or at some point over the next two weeks.

Some days ago I dreamt the result of this stage for whatever reason.

It went like this:

1.) TMartin

...

Quintana 4:02

Almost...

Malori was a fail of course, but I got Contador ahead of Froome right :D

If Uran is one of Contador's two biggest threats now, he'll be celebrating tonight.

what?! contador was only better than quintana t tirreno where quintana was not in form at all. did you see first timecheck? quintana was behind 33 seconds and came through at 20 seconds. that's how much a diesel quintana is, he's better than contador but this crash couldn't come at a worse time.

I know what happens if you laugh at a crash but this is not laughing this is just pointing out how pathetic it was completly is own fault.
