Does this climb favour Froome? I re looked first page and not so sure. Think it suits the Purito, Valverde style of rider.

Ligthart and Mas Bonet are not exactly stellar climbers, I think they even need 5 minutes

It depends if they go full ***, 5 minutes might not be enough then yea.

6 minutes left, yea they're screwed.

The two at the front haven't a hope. They have only six minutes with 30 to go. They will be brought back very soon.

30KM is plenty of distance to take back six minutes. I recall the peloton can take 1 min per KM out of a long-shot breakaway. I don't know where I got that, so maybe it's wrong.

They'd have to hit the base of the last climb with 10 minutes lead or have the chasers messing around looking at each other on the climb waiting for an attack.

1 min per 10 KM

The peloton needs to be going at 60km/h and the break at 30km/h for them to lose a minute per kilometre, so I'd say it's wrong in most cases.

They are not going to make it of course. Gap draps rapidly.

They need 6 minutes imo.

The climb is 5 kms long and the top dogs can make it in 15 minutes. There's no way the break needs 6 minutes to make it. They just need 3 minutes, but they won't get that anyway.

But Lighart and Bonnet are quite horrible climbers. And they were with two, so they suffered more on the flat k's before the climb.
