I dont think its necessary sprinting that will improve his handling and position. If he actually watched what happened in front of him both him and those unwilling to engage in a sprint with the praying mantis might be spared.

Anyway, he was sort of ok sprinter before this stage so that wont solve his problem.

Froome has went for 2 sec bonus aswell this GT clearly he is on it. Road rash in Dauphinee was bad for him just admit it today is a great ride i thought he may struggle to stay in the bunch.

Yep i love to know their reason for the hate unbelievable this guy is excactly like Contador he is exciting yet he his hated far more. Isit even a stretch to say since 2011 he as been the most attacking rider(in mountains) even more than Alberto? The excuse he was bad then great wears thin aswell considering he was just 26 when contending for a 1st GT.

He looks ugly on a bike and he's from the wrong country.

Contador was lucky imo to not lose a sec or 2 so i dont see why this should be a big proble. I do think 3 was generous should been 1 or 2.

Did i say i dislike him? I said it is harder and harder for me to support him as he can not seem stay upright. Literally first thing i do is check the ticker and boom he is on the deck.

That means that the 3-km rule is in place on stage 13.

Exactly - no gradient. Doesn't really work as a strength indicator in the mountains. Good for Froome, that he has learnt to sprint, but hardly a weapon when the big climbs begin

Considering the parcours and the bonus seconds available at the end of each stage, I would not be at all surprised if the race is won on bonus seconds. Sprinting is a useful weapon in that regard in my view.

The gap between Nibs and Horner last year heading into angliru was 3 seconds. So...yeah, this small gaps count and can be very important.
