The combination of players in the break can put Tinkoff under pressure. Very strong TT'ers ahead. But the idea requires strong pace all day.

Of course 6 man teams would have been even better.

Sure, it is a very strong bunch ahead and Tinkoff will have to actually work to keep it under control, but it shouldn't be too hard. Regarding 6 man teams, I am all with you. On routes such as this race, it would make a nice difference, turning it all in a big mess.

This is the perfect break for berti, strong enough to stay away, but no one presents any danger, keep them at a distance and if orica wants to win, let them work

Pretty poor after the form he showed in Catalunya

He can't really handle the steep climbs well. I guess the climbs in Catalunya were much more gentle

he managed ok in oman, reckon hes not racing full gun here but still would hope hed have come in with cadel.

wonderful break today, tony decided to let others join him today how kind.

Keeping the gap at under 3'. The break really has no chance.

EDIT: Hard to distinguish Contador's yellow leader jersey from the standard Tinkoff jersey (easy to pick him out on the climbs because of his climbing style). I suspect the Tour De France/ASO will ask them to change their jersey in advance of the Tour.

I was kinda wondering why I couldn't spot Contador. You have a bit of a problem when a domestique is easier to spot than the leading rider...

Luls @ the distance between Busche and his bike after the fall. #wtf

Wenzel's reaction when seeing the bike in the ditch: "Where's the man?"
Personally I was half-way expecting a guy to emerge from underneath the hedge...
