Yes, crazy leadout, but there wasn't really another team trying to challenge them. Gilbert got terribly boxed in and seemed to try to get first without ever sprinting :D

lol is that british tool announcing thinking arashiro finished 2nd?
No, he said Reza. I think he was just talking about the fact that his team mate Arashiro had puncture early on and got back on to contest the sprint.

Yep. He probably thinks it's Voeckler with the Japanese NC jersey.

Ben Swift should try harder, even though he knows he will not win, he should not give up and try to get some WT points

Don't know what you're talking about. He got 1 WT point right there.

Congrats to Matthews. Nice to see him win. Man if there were time bonuses Kwiatkowski would probably would be in the leaders jersey.

Heh Kwiatkowski may a better bet for the points jersey at the Tour than Cavendish, for the same reason that Sagan wins it. Not that OPQS would ever ride for Kwiato over Cavendish.

Do you know why this thread from the same race got 640k views? I know it was a brutal stage given the heat but a bit odd that it's the 5th most viewed thread in the PRR section and over double the next stage thread.

Sorry its off topic but still,
Do you know what is the biggest thread here? (i mean most posts in one stage or a classic)

Edit:to not to be completely offtopic.I was really expecting BS to win this, bit surprised with this.

Are there any good TTers in this race other than Martin?

Kwiatkowski, Tejay van Garderen, Tom Dumoulin, Fredrik Kessiakoff, Vasil Kiryienka, Contador (esp. on the hills) and Kreuziger, Stef Clement, Lieuwe Westra probably the best TTists here not named Tony Martin. Some severe hill-age in the final TT could shake things up a fair bit.

I don't know if it's the biggest but the stage to Gardeccia, Giro '11 was a really participated thread.

Yes, those are all good tt's. This time trial will most likely suit riders like TvG and Kwiatkowsi more than Tony Martin. He's a powerhouse....he likes to roll a big gear. He is at his best on a long flat tt.
