Dennis crashed and rain, yet he managed to finish +8 :)

He didn't crash until he crossed the line so the crash itself had no influence on his time. The conditions certainly had, though.

Initially I wasn't that negative towards this stage: it's just a parade like the last stage always is, and I think it's actually a nice way for the riders to get celebrated by the crowd. However, as both the GC and the stage result is already known I'd say it's kind of a flop, but that's not the organizer's fault.

Organisers have removed the COFIDIS advertising banners from the ground at the finish after Dennis' crash on them.

Kelderman of course better than caruso, he finally finishes 14 in GC, and a little bit more than a minute behind malori in the time trial, the best of the riders that had run in that conditions

Malori's gonna get the stage win it looks like. :) Froome not taking any risks, no way Contador will.

Valverde showed his class, it'd be interesting to see him in a long technical flat itt like stage 8 of the 2013 Giro.

Seeing the contenders roll in to finish 257th ,409th and 771st in the stage... Great design, Guillén.
