Sky made Orica look like juniors.

must have been a full junior race as it looks like some junior team got handed the win as a favor to Murdoch money.. took 7 of them to not beat 5 of the other

The Dawg will go full mutant stage 5, cannot wait.

Also, is there a team time trial at the Tour? Sky is going to murder that one as well. Good stuff.

Apparently there will be a 1.5 km of 6.5% just at the end of TTT with the rest being quite undulating as well.
If Team SKY will reach stage 9 in one piece, it will slaughter the rest.

IMO if the TTT was flatter than that would give Sky a greater advantage. Being that they have better tt'ers, the flat course would still suit them, but it wouldn't suit the teams like Ag2r or Katusha who will probably have a number of climbers. A harder ttt course will just make it so the teams that generally are worse at tt'ing will limit their loses to the better teams.

True. But i guess this TT route isn't quite like that (I am only speculating from the predictions ofc.). The other undulations comprise power hills of 3-4%. This gives Sky the advantage over the other top guns' teams. The climb in the end gives advantage over OGE and Quickstep.
IMO in this Tour all the teams are going to have more powerful rouleurs than usual because of the cobbles, hence leaving less space for climbers. The issue is to find the right balance in-between and SKY already has that
Plus undulating powerful TTs take longer to complete and the longer it takes the bigger the gains for the powerful teams generally.

Today there were 4 teams worse than LottoNL Jumbo.

"Today was a good day"

Why any rider would even want to ride for that team is beyond my comprehension.

I don't know, they seem untroubled. Ten-Dam will get their usual top10 at the Tour, Gesink who knows... Giro and Vuelta for some breakaways, Sep will try to win the Tour cobbles stage. they even let Bos go away to Mtn...
I was trying to find a LottoJumbo thread on this forum but I can't, too far back in the pages I guess

and as expected after how things looked on the road, minutes after TTT end, Froome is again no1 TdF favorite at bet365

i guess my feeling that he is finished as GT contender was wrong
What? because of a TTT his odds changed? What the hell :D

no, because he looked very ok after last week crash and Catalunia display and also declared yesterday that he can lose another 1.5 kg's lol
Nothing compared to the tassie devil, who'll gnaw away at him and do the double.

Lol, you are just crying inside because your amateur Tinkov team got owned by 15 seconds. Froome will win by 7 minutes in the Tour. Porte by 2 minutes in the Giro. You can't stop science.

TCS can put in Bodnar, Sagan, Bennati, Tossato, Kreuziger and Rogers. I hope you don't feel that this is TCS's TDF squad with Hansen and Pires (to name two) because it obviously won't be.

Come on dude, your making most of us look bad. A bad winner is just as annoying as a bad loser.

Bodnar, Sagan, Bennati, Rogers, Contador, Valgren/Morkov that's one helluva ttt squad. But they need to keep the little climbers like Majka and Kiserlovski on their tail for the final uphill stretch :)

Another Sky fan boy think Sky will dominate the planet til 2018 lol

Yet this isn't a real TTT battle between the strongest guy

I'd guess both of them makes it, but of the two of them I think Albasini is more likely.

Profile of the climb, only the last 10km (15km to go after the top):

It's obviously a (poorly done) parody account, a la WonderLance.

Maybe it's a language thing, but anyone treating it as real, or quoting it at all, is going to look stupider than the people the poster is parodying in the first place.

I don't know about Albasini. I think he might be a false favourite for this stage. Didn't look good going uphill in the team team trial.

This is a tough stage in my opinion. I think the break will take it, but if not, I see a group of around 20 favourites contesting the finish. I'd be thinking a winner like Costa, Dan Martin or someone like that.

Diego Ulissi would ordinarily be my pick, but hard to know what type of shape he is in.

If Albasini doesn't hang on then Orica have another card to play in Simon Yates. Hopefully there is some action on the final climb.

Re: 2015, 69th Tour de Romandie: April 28 to May 5 (WT)

Think that Gerrans or Yates would be a good shot today. Should no one get away then Gerrans would probably sprint to the win. Can't see how Albasini will stay with them. Gerrans/Yates can. But I can see attacks from people in form such as Rolland and Taaramae. Rolland to win.

Wow, second stage is a lot harder than I thought. There will be gaps between favourites at the top of last climb.

Albasini is a better than climber than Gerrans, though. If Albasini gets dropped surely Gerrans will too.

A very educated arsessment. You obviously have the wisdom of a thousand fools and will have big tears in your eyes when the little "tinymanofpower" Quintana drops "chaos theory limbs" Froome "eggman face" with ease when he feels like it.

Why would any big guns attack when there's 15km from the top to the finish? 2nd rank riders will probably attack.

Ag2r surely needs to try something though.
