That accident where the medical car took down Hansen just stinks...Geez don't they look in the mirror before opening the door? Any news on his condition?

He finished the stage, has no injuries and will start tomorrow.

Thanks, good to hear!

i don't think Froome is fully ok from health pov, saw him coughing violently a few times during the last 10 kms, Nibali looked spirited and jumpy :D

next 2 stages, no big deal will happen

Costa is clearly on form, at least last year's form, wich is a pitty, given the awful team Lampre sent here, and how they blew his chances right on day one.
Lampre is a weak team to begin with. Their roster here is probably stronger than the one they're sending to the Giro so there's really nothing to complain about.

Astana looks very strong and I wonder if they wanna try something in the coming days. Most likely it will come down to stage 5 though.

Froome was also caughing last year. During the last press conference journo asked him about this, and he told it's usual health problem for him at this point of the year. He tried to explain it by the time he spent in Africa etc.

Last year he had a chest infection, now allergies?

Nice win for Albasini today, altho was hoping Taaramae could hold it off

I just finished watching the recorded stage. Albasini kudos, this is his big race of the year and the Swiss love it :).

All in all the final 20+ km were very interesting and there seem to be many possibilities here! It certainly would be nice to have announcers whose entire world didn't revolve around Sky though :(.

Did you have English commentary? Where were you able to watch it? I know it can get annoying listening to them harp on Sky, but I think I'd take that over Italian commentary which I can't understand. Thanks!

Yes I have English commentary. I'm in the USA and it is being shown on TV live by beIN with Rob Hatch and Magnus B calling. Generally I really like Rob but da*n you'd think Sky was the only team in the race.....

Alright. Thanks!

Nizzolo or Viviani for stage 3. Viviani hopefully being quite shrewd and saving energy yesterday in order to go well today. That's the theory at least.

Will he get another one? It could be hard since the competition might be stronger this time.

That is too much for Viviani. I think Sky will try to get a stage win with Stannard. He is very fast in a sprint.

Surely they have other guys who can sprint better.

You're being ignorant. He outsprinted Terpstra and Boonen in Omloop, so of course he can sprint.

Actually he didn't out sprint Boonen, Boonen was dropped earlier and hadn't regained contact with Stannard and Terpstra.

Ok, here we go, well the broadcast on Swiss 2 is live, no pictures of the race yet, 60k to go apparently, 3' gap. Ah no, pics now, 54.7km to go, 1'10" gap.

Outsprinting Terpstra isn't a very big accomplishment to be honest. Boonen didn't sprint at all.

What's up with Movistar? Why are they working so hard? Do they want to punish everyone for the bad TTT?
