Stage 3 categorised climbs (from official timetable):

Côte de Bure – km 80.8 (cat. 3) - 1.8 km, 7.4%
Col de La Croix – km 115 (cat. 2) - 4.8 km, 6.3%
Col des Rangiers – km 125.1 (cat. 2) - 5.0 km, 7.2%
Côte de Bure – km 147.4 (cat. 3) - 1.8 km, 7.4%

That is too much for Viviani. I think Sky will try to get a stage win with Stannard. He is very fast in a sprint.

Regular updates would be awesome as I'm away from a stream. Tyia
Movistar drilling it, peloton of about 60 riders I'd say. Now the first climb has finished.

Only about 60 riders left in the peloton and a few spots of rain around. Lampre on the front now. Potentially interesting stage alert !

What's up with Movistar? Why are they working so hard? Do they want to punish everyone for the bad TTT?

Daniel Atienza just explained why, basically the current YJ isn't in for the win so the potential winners get their teams to take turns working. Makes more sense than what Voeckler's team did in 2004 on the TDF for sure...

I guess
G would likely be a better option than Yogi, but neither are especially explosive.
I think today they will just ensure Froomedog gets home in the reduced bunch.

Not calling a valuable lead-out man like Stannard fast is trolling. He was 6th in Milano-Sanremo. The guy is very fast.

Thanks.

Not sure if it makes sense, but at least they are doing training in how to lead Quintana at the front of the group. :)

Mezgec, Albasini, Meersman, Alaphillipe, Haas, Navardauskas, Pantano are there

I don't think Viviani or Nizzolo are. Looks good for Albasini. He has everyone covered except Mezgec but the way he is riding, wouldn't be surprised if he beats Mezgec

Not easy to control though. Wouldn't be suprised if 3-4 riders get clear at some point.

What's crazy about trying to gain some seconds when for one race Sky finally seems vulnerable?
