King is a decent climber. I wonder if this advantage over peloton will put him in contention for a decent place in GC. He should also be able to gain a few seconds over some climbers in TT.

TT is very short so I don't think much time can be gained,
Garmin also has Formolo for the GC. His form should be improving.

As for the overall I'd say Peraud vs Pinot.

That's why I said "a few seconds".

Slagter got the x1 number at Cannondale, so he may be also going for GC.

And Frank should not be discounted. He was very strong last year.

Brajkovic a possible outsider.

hilarious weak field. vuillermoz for the win

You would think some outsider GC guys would come here for a reasonably easy win in a formerly prestigious race.

Felline finally wins a race this season!

1 Felline
2 Jungels +1
3 Boaro +2
4 Pinot +6
5 Navardauskas +9
6 Delaplace +11
7 Frank +12

Pinot clear favorite at this point.

I remember back in the day this used to be a key race.
In '89 it was the reason why ADR was given a wild-card into the tour which lead to the amazing 8 second victory.

It has fallen in prestige. But I like the format.
Good win for King and Cannondale. Will be a confidence booster for Pinot if he pulls it out of the bag.

Wow nice win for Felline. Happy that he finally breaks the draught, although he's destined for something bigger than this.

Felline with his first win after eight top-10 places so far. Seems to have really improved over the winter indeed.

Felline, this was a long time coming! After a quiet season last year he has been on fire so far and excels in various domains - sprints, hilly classics, uphill finishes, shorter ITT - very exciting prospect!

I like the fact it has an agreement to be held in Corsica for the long term. With so many French and Italian races disappearing, agreements with local governments seem to be the way forward: the Tour Down Under is the best example.

Could be a nice stage today, Pinot is obviously favourite however would be good if guys like Peraud, Schleck, Arredondo, Edet, Slagter or Brajkovic could get involved.
