Instead of going live earlier, ES decides to put on Watts.

Are live pics available yet anywhere though?

I cannot tell because it's geo restricted, but I think there are live pics on the official site. Again, I'm not sure.

No not until half past, it's up to the race directors to make feed available not the fault of Eurosprt ect.

My bad, I thought producers had made it available already.

programme underway on ITV4 for anyone wanting a Kirby-free afternoon.

Two good reasons to go with ITV4.

1) No Carlton Kirby.

2) David Millar's co commentary and analysis has been excellent. Ned Boulting still a way off of being the finished article though :D

Mollema back on the peloton. He dropped from that break? Anyway, peloton 1:10 behind.

He has back problems...it looks bad for the Tour, but there is time...

I see on Tv 15 riders on the front, and no more than 40 in the main group, no raining.

Happy about Daniel Teklehaimanot, a real talent.

Probably 35 riders left in the peloton and Sky have 6 in Boswell, Deignan, Poels, Roche, Kennaugh and Froome

Chapeau to Daniel Teklehaimanot, sown up the KoM jersey already. Nice to see MTN get some more reward for all their hardwork.

All started with Ciolek's MSR win didn't it?

Hasn't really shown anything to live up to the hype, though.

It's MTN's first WorldTour jersey isn't it?

Yes. This is a nice quote from the official ticker:

Douglas Ryder: "Teklehaimanot will ride the Tour for sure"

MTN-Qhubeka's team principal Douglas Ryder paid a visit to letour.fr on the finishing line at Saint-Gervaix-Le Bettex. He expressed his joy to see Daniel Teklehaimanot winning the polka dot jersey: “This is the first jersey victory in the World Tour for our team. Being achieved by an African rider is a dream come true, especially for Daniel. He always said that as a boy, his favorite jersey was the polka dot, over the yellow because it shows aggression, passion and flair in the race. His dream was to win it rather than any other jersey. He told us many times this week: this is my dream. Before the Tour de France, it's perfect. Daniel will ride the Tour, that's for sure. He got married last year. He's in such a good place in his life at the moment.”

Re: 2015 Dauphiné, stage 7: Montmélian > Saint-G Mont Blanc

I think Zoidl is only strong when he is in a break which has no chance to get the stage

That's great, I hope he gets to wear the polka dots at least once in the Tour.

I think so.

Daniel was in the UCI team of Geneve for countries with no big chances in cycling. They said in his test that he, Froome and Rafaa chitioui were the most impresive number they got there.

Rafaa started in cycling very impressive, he is doing good things now for his team, but he couldn adapt well to a non muslim culture (he is very muslim as Mancebo told to a friend of mine). daniel has serious helth problems, and he is from a country that for geopolitical reasons (that I understand) sometimes dont allow his riders to leave the country...

Froome had a disease but anyway he did very good performances in his first year in Europe and finally his talent become in results 3 years later. So at least one.

Hype? What hype has he recieved?

Not a lot, but a couple of years ago when he signed for Orica and Berhane signed for EuRopcar the following year they received a bit of hype, although not too much. So far they haven't done a lot to justify it.
