Froome to go in the single hard kilometer of the final climb. He will gap TJVG, question is wether he'll limit his losses or crawl himself back.

TJVG not to do dumb pulling for Froome like yesterday

Re: Re:

If Dawg can climb like at the Ruta del Sol, when he apparently sustained 6.86w/kg for 7 minutes (source: 53x12), he can win.

Tejay will be glued to his wheel. What would be hilarious is Froome mysteriously collapsing with a break up the road, and Teejay so obsessed with Froome that someone else ends up winning

Wait, that is the tiny seemingly meaningless 750m cat 2 they have halfway in the profile?

From that pic i thought it was some sort of Alpine HC.

Break of the day: Izagirre, Kelderman, Pires, Quemeneur, Cummings, Sicard, Timmer, Tony Martin. Gautier and Smukulis chasing, peloton not too far away.

Kelderman doing the Nibali-thing: getting completely blown away one day, only to almost win the stage the next day.

Isn't it 3 km?

In the tour profile of stage 18 it says 3km.

imo the best designed stage of the tour, not saying much though.

Yesterday TJ had a good reason to take turns (so not dumb), not today though

Kelderman said his last bad day had probably to do with his fall earlier this week. Without meaning to do so he was shifting position on the bike after fall and causing problems with his left leg which felt powerless. So once he was dropped yesterday he took it easy.

It's a bit deceiving. Short but steep. That climb actually leads to the Col du Chaussy, and while the latter has been climbed in the Tour before, they never went through this small alpine intestine, rather via Hermillon further southeast. I used it once to make a multi climb stage with Chaussy, Madelaine and Val Thorens. With the Galibier and Croix de Fer/Glandon not far away, the possibilities to use this beauty are endless.

Afaik Chaussy has never been climbed in the Tour before.

Speaking of the Tour stage, there is 6km from the bottom of the Glandon descent to the beginning of Lacets de Montvernier, so a move on Glandon is quite likely, especially since the Glandon descent is quite technical as well.

Woops, you're right. This year only.
