Where has anyone said it would be great if riders always follow team tactics? I think it's brilliant the race has been blown apart. It's still idiotic from Etixx though.

Just bothered by all the bitching about Vandenbergh who is by far the best cobblestone domestique in the peloton.

Stijn hasn't been a domestique since 2013. He rides for himself these days..

All these QuickStep guys are domestiques. Just their leader isn't here

Gap isn't really coming down though, it keeps hanging around the two minutes.

after kemmel, they will start chasing methinks

A tailwind is discussed in the last 20km into the finish. That's when group1 closes that gap.

The seven riders do not have to do anything desperate yet. They can still wait awhile to see if Roelandts slows down. Although it might be an advantage if they catch Roelandts earlier as Debusschere would then probably have to work instead of getting a free ride.

Can Roelandts actually win this? 2 minutes now.

Nope. He's just riding hard to put pressure on the group behind and Debuskiere gets a free ride. He'll blow up when he gets to 10 - 20k to go.

He is such a good domestique that he already ruiner one race for his team this year (Omloop) and ruined today's race for his team leader, Stybar.

With a six minute gap to the main group it doesn't seem to me Debusschere has to work.

Kudos to someone playing their "Military Marches Volume 53" CD on the Kemmelberg

Can easily see Thomas or Vanmarcke picking 30s on Roelandts up Kemmelberg... which would be handy if they had kept the gap at a minute or so instead of letting it balloon out to 2'10"
