Stage 14 TT
I just spent ages compiling all the tables for a full update for yesterday's stage while waiting to watch the highlights of today's stage, then did control-V instead of control-C (to copy it here from VR), and overwrote the whole damn lot.
In short, Murali did best both on Guaranteed points and overall change on the day, and the teams who did well feature Contador, Van Den Broeck and Uran, and it is bad news if you had Kreuziger, Landa and Aru (and therefore a catastrophe for previous leader Alykaptan, who has all 3)

Thanks for your updates, Armchair_Cyclist. Top ten again in the guaranteed points and top 3 in the projected points, this giro almost turns out as expected. In some ways even better, I didn't see Contador in pink so early in the race and all of my cheap sprinters scored. König as expected the new leader for Sky, Kreuziger hopefully top ten in the final classification. Betancur showed more than one could hope, but almost everyone has him. I didn't expect Landa to be better than König an Kreuziger. Still I'm very happy with my team especially as Contador is not that popular. I hope Boem finishes the Giro. On to the last week.

I suspect that Tiralongo and Zakarin have done whatever they will do: not sure where Murali can improve relative to other top teams in the mountains except the possible re-arrival of the Betancur that we had seen for the previous 18 months.

The joker in the pack: suffered the loss of a big spend in Pozzovivo, doesn't have Contador, and still in the top 5. If disaster were to befall Contador, obviously in prime position to benefit, but otherwise, can expect to lose 90 pink jersey points to everyone else in the top 10, and would have to hope that Astana can mug Alberto on the MTFs as on Sunday. To be weighed up against that, Landa might overtake Amador, but his other climbers are either at their peak or shared with immediate competitors.

Standings
Shalgo was fourth in terms of the effect of today's racing, much higher than others near the top: his lead increases, despite my prediction above of Trofimov losing ground. Two Astanas in the top 3 of GC, and a stage win, raise Alykaptan to within a point of the podium, but a few more pink jersey bonuses to his rivals will probably push him back down. DJW replaces AG in the top ten and becomes the second highest non-Contadorista, overtaking Postmanhat, who suffers the biggest fall. Josedin rises 7 places, to the threshhold of the top ten, but The Green Monkey moves up even more places, from 41st to 31st.
